At Viva Global Education, we believe that music is a powerful form of expression, creativity, and development. Music, inherently, has a language of its own: patterns, structure, rhythm, phrasing, and vocabulary. Our musical education curriculum teaches students how to learn this musical language and understand it fully so they can confidently express themselves. With a personalized approach and resources that make learning more engaging, we create an environment that encourages continuous evolution and allows each student to develop their own musical path.
At Viva, we provide classes focused on developing a critical understanding of overall music comprehension. Our teachers use solfege and ear training to help students understand and emulate the music they hear around them. We also embed this foundational musical training into our instrumental and (vocal) classes. Our teachers offer piano, violin, (and voice) lessons for different levels and goals. Our violin classes follow the Suzuki method that our teachers are accredited in. In the Suzuki method, music is learned first primarily by ear through listening pattern recognition, repetition, and imitation. The Suzuki method is world-renowned for its success (particularly with young children) where parental involvement, consistent practice, discipline, and a love of music are at the forefront of the methodology. Our piano and voice classes follow an approach that is based on the previous principles.
The core pedagogy for our music classes focuses on technique, music reading and ear training, repertoire and interpretation. Our teachers draw on worldly musical travels and training, incorporating classical, contemporary, jazz, and other global elements into their musical teaching.
Lessons are tailored to each student's level, pace, and interests. Each lesson is an opportunity to evolve, explore new styles, and build a meaningful relationship with music.
